It’s projected light onto the form which will give its relief. It’s a play of shadow and light. For a cube or another flat forms, it’s rather easy but how to to do for the round or oval forms ?

I continue my learning of the drawing with DTO and I  just learned that it is useful to draw a line of separation between shadow and  light on its drawing. Hello,

I made a new sketch – exercise for the drawing class DTO. The purpose of this exercise is to have a just line. We must draw a female bust freehand (without grid). It’s a hard work for me because I usually have to press hard with my pencil. Then, it is difficult to erase if it does not go. Therefore I prepare before I start.
